Who we are and what we do

We are a Table Top Roleplaying podcast network with introductory video gaming products on our various channels. Not only do we cover the history of roleplaying games, including the history of the games themselves, but also the history of the publishing companies, some of the people who've MADE those games over the years.

About us

Bad GM Productions began with an idea:

What if we started a podcast that did deep dives into the history of the various components of tabletop roleplaying games?  Not the basic stuff most of us know, but DEEP dives, like WHY did Gygax and Arneson work together to create D&D, and why did Gygax get all the credit?

Our goal was to dig deeper, provide more information, and enlighten even the most experienced gamers about the hobby they love so much.

From there, we had the idea to create a podcast where we took a game, gave an explanation about how to play it, provide some advice to the gamemaster, then spend each episode creating an entire campaign from scratch.

And, we wanted it to be a podcast so it would be portable.

Bad GM Productions was created at the launch of Bad GM's Campaign Build Along to bring Roleplaying History and Bad GM's Campaign Build Along under one roof.

From there, we decided to bring Gabe's gaming streams and content under the umbrella as well, to give both of us the opportunity to expand our bases and our business as a whole.

Join Bad GM Productions at Archon 46 September 29-October 1.  We'll be live from the game floor all weekend long providing Bad GM listeners with the goings-on of the convention AND we'll be doing a live episode of Roleplaying History, with the topic to be chosen by convention attendees.  That's Archon 46, September 29-October 1 in Collinsville, Illinois.  For more information on the convention check out their website arachonstl.org.
